All right, down here in Centralia, WA a customer bought an auction car with no keys. No problem, I decoded the locks and made a new key… but it just would NOT work in the ignition! I assumed the ignition had been changed out without being re-keyed… Nope, I removed and found it was indeed the OEM ignition. That key should have worked. The split wafers in the ignition failed, no key would turn it over at that point. Very common. So I replaced the ignition, cut & programmed key – all was well! I left the old ignition with customer in case he wanted to have it re-keyed to match rest of the vehicle. We fired it up for the first-start since purchase, and it ran great!! Thank you for your business.
